One day an older gentleman put his arm around my shoulders, probably just to get me to stand still for a few moments, and asked, ”What’s the gospel, young man?” I straightened up with a smile and answered, ”Good news!” He smiled and nodded, ”Yes,” he said, ”yes it is. But what ’IS’ the gospel? What IS the good news?” I opened my mouth, ready for the eloquent answer...but nothing. It was then that his smile faded. He looked me direct in the eyes and said, ”Know what Christ’s Good News is! Know it, and be able to explain it so that an 8 year old could understand.”\nGo through Scripture with Dad as he explains it’s theological depths but in a way that all ages can understand.
